During COVID SIP – Providing breakfast each morning for 40 at the Salinas Warming Shelter
During COVID SIP – Providing weekly groceries to nearly 50 vulnerable families
During COVID 2021 – Providing weekly groceries to 3 vulnerable families
During COVID 2021 - Providing Christmas gifts to 10 vulnerable children
During COVID 2021 - Mentoring 2 vulnerable teenagers
During COVID 2021 - Providing local shelters and vulnerable families with blankets, jackets, pajamas and socks
Providing weekly homework assistance to children living in two local homeless shelters
Providing scholarships for three local homeless children to attend summer camp
Providing a scholarship for a local homeless child to participate in a sports league
Connecting local community members with local agencies working in the community, including the Salinas Family Resource Center, the Salinas Warming Shelter, and a local women’s shelter
Our goal in 2022 is to increase the number of scholarships available to local homeless children that we have built a relationship with. This would allow them to participate in camps and sports leagues, and will include registration fees, transportation, and gear, if needed.
